Frequently asked questions

How do I book my first appointment?

By phone at +34 963 75 50 50 during consultation hours (Monday to Friday, 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm) or on WhatsApp at +34 690 82 66 36 (Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 8:00 pm). Appointments are not handled by email. Dr. Baixauli sees patients in English, just mention it when you call.

What should I bring to my first visit?

If you have them, previous reports, ultrasounds, lab results or tests, and a list of the medication you take. It helps to remember the date of your last period, whether you use contraception, and whether you have had pregnancies or surgery. You can write down your questions so you do not forget them.

How long does the first visit last?

It is not rushed: there is time for you to explain your case and ask questions. The length depends on the reason for the visit and on any tests that are needed.

What happens at the first visit?

First we talk: the reason for your visit, your history and what worries you. Then, depending on the case, an examination or an ultrasound is done in the consulting room. At the end we explain what we found, the options if there are any, and the next steps.

Can I come during my period?

For a check-up or an ultrasound, usually yes. If you are going to have a Pap smear, it is usually advised not to be on your period. If in doubt, ask when you book.

Can I bring someone with me?

If you would like to come with someone, just mention it when you book.

Is an examination always necessary?

Not necessarily. The doctor adapts the visit to your age and the reason for your consultation, and explains each step before doing it. You can ask questions or ask to stop at any time.

What if I cannot make my appointment?

Let us know by phone (+34 963 75 50 50) or WhatsApp (+34 690 82 66 36) as early as possible, so the slot can go to another patient and we can set a new date.
